Living Well with Chronic Pain is a free workshop that teaches practical skills for living a happy and healthy life while managing chronic pain. Classes are highly participative, where mutual support and success help build confidence in your ability to manage your health. Sessions are led by two trained leaders, one or both of whom are living with chronic pain. This interactive workshop meets for two and a half hours, once a week, for six weeks.

You will learn about:

  • Techniques to deal with problems such as frustration, fatigue, isolation and poor sleep
  • Appropriate exercise for maintaining and improving strength, flexibility and endurance
  • Appropriate use of medications
  • Communicating effectively with family, friends and health professionals
  • Moving Easy program: Guided movements to decrease chronic pain
  • How to evaluation new treatments
  • Nutrition
