GSRMC da Vinci XI 203 CO

The Good Samaritan Regional Hospital Foundation invites all to a free seminar to learn more about the new da Vinci XI surgical robot that recently went into service at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center (GSRMC).

The Med Talk will be on Wednesday, Dec. 2 at 11:30 a.m., with Donald Yarbrough, MD, bariatric surgeon with Samaritan Weight Management Institute; and Adam Clark, clinical vice president with Intuitive, the manufacturer of the da Vinci robot series.

Ever since the introduction of robotics at Samaritan Health Services, our surgeons have helped train medical residents and surgeons nationwide, and patients have reaped the benefits. Now is the next chapter for GSRMC and the community with the hospital’s recent acquisition of the da Vinci XI, a multi-quadrant robotic surgical system that is a massive improvement on the previous single quadrant SI.

With multiple advances in technology, the XI allows surgeons to complete more complex, minimally invasive procedures with minimal blood loss, decreased surgical site pain, opioid use, and decreased length of stay among other advantages that are all passed onto the patient.

RSVP to Whitney Olsen at wolsen@samhealth.org to receive the virtual event link. You are encouraged to participate in the conversation by submitting questions when you RSVP or by asking them during the presentation.
