Get your student athlete ready to compete with low-cost physicals and free seminars.

Student physicals are being offered, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., for student athletes on a first-come, first-served basis. Each exam costs $80; insurance will be accepted. Students must bring a sports physical form from their school, completed and signed by a parent or guardian. Physicals will be held at Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital, Suite B, located near the southwest entrance of the hospital. A parent or guardian must be present at the time of the physical.

In addition, join us for two free seminars just across from the hospital at the Center for Health Education.

From 11 a.m. to noon, sports performance specialist Kyle Bangen, MS, CSCS, discusses physically preparing teen athletes for sports by using appropriate workouts and eating properly.

From 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Olympian and former football star, Jess Lewis, talks with students about how to avoid the lure of alcohol and drugs, sharing stories from his own experiences as an Olympic wrestler and NFL and OSU football player.

Snacks will be provided, along with information and giveaways from SamFit, Samaritan Athletic Medicine Center and other organizations.

Registration is not needed. Call for additional information: 541-574-4954.
