Prevent T2 – National Diabetes Prevention Program is a workshop, in English, for people diagnosed with Pre-Diabetes, at high risk of having Type 2 Diabetes, or meet the CDC screening requirements. This workshop will help you become confident about lifestyle changes including nutrition, exercise and goal setting.

This class meets weekly for the first four months and then goes to once a month for the remaining 8 months. There are 24 sessions total and each session is an hour in length.

Topics include:

  • Nutrition.
  • Adding and maintaining physical activity.
  • Managing stress.
  • Staying motivated.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Coping skills.
  • Taking charge of your thoughts.
  • Keeping the weight off.
  • Support from others like you.
  • Prevent or delay type 2 diabetes.
