Health experts say we should eat “seasonally” by including foods in our diet that are grown at the same time of the year in which we eat them. An example would be to eat asparagus in the spring and apples in the fall. In this free seminar, you will discover how eating in season benefits your health, the planet and your wallet.
Facilitator Pati D’Eliseo, chef and culinary instructor, operates a private chef business in Newport, and teaches both public and private cooking classes. She also oversees the Cooking Matters program for Lincoln County, which delivers free cooking classes to low income individuals, families and children.
Registration is not required for this seminar. If you have questions, call for information: 541-574-4952.
