Penelope McCarthy will lead a Lovingkindness meditation at the Pacific Communities Health District Foundation’s Women’s Giving Circle fall event. Based in the Buddhist tradition, Lovingkindness practice is an antidote to fear. In this brief guided practice, participants will first befriend themselves, then a loved one, a neutral person, the world and then again themselves.

The Women’s Giving Circle offers a unique opportunity to learn more about health care and philanthropy as well as contribute to a fund benefitting women and children within the scope of patient care provided by Samaritan Pacific Health Services. To join the PCHD Foundation’s Women’s Giving Circle, participants make an annual donation of $250, which can be made in monthly installments of $25 each.

Current Women’s Giving Circle participants and women interested in joining are invited to attend free of charge. A salad buffet will be served. Reservations are required by Oct. 3 and seating is limited.
