Notice: Samaritan’s Drive-Through Test Sites Have Closed

Due to decreased demand, Samaritan’s temporary drive-through COVID-19 test sites have closed.

Home Test Kits

COVID-19 test kits can be purchased over the counter at pharmacies or retail stores, and the costs for these home tests are covered by many insurance plans. Every household in the U.S. is also eligible to order free test kits online at COVIDTests.gov.

Home test kits are appropriate if you:

• Are experiencing symptoms that don’t require medical attention.
• Were possibly exposed to someone with COVID-19. If you have no symptoms, wait three to five days after the potential exposure to perform the test.

Community Testing Options

Other community testing locations include pharmacies, county health departments, primary care providers and independent testing sites. To find other COVID-19 testing sites near you, visit healthoregon.org/covid19testing.

Do you have symptoms of COVID-19? 

If so, contact your primary care provider, or visit an urgent care/walk in clinic or community testing site.

Do you think you have been exposed, but have no symptoms?
If so, contact your primary care provider or visit a community testing site. 

Do you need to be tested because of travel or an event?

• Lincoln County: An appointment is not needed, but a doctor’s order is required for this kind of test at our hospital labs at Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital or Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital. If you need assistance with a doctor’s order, contact your primary care provider or sign in/sign up for MyChart and click on “Coronavirus Concerns.”
• Benton or Linn counties: Please check with community COVID-19 test sites for testing for travel or events.
