At the Research Institute, it is our goal to provide our patients and community members with the resources they need to live a healthy, productive life. Alongside our research, we support a variety of programs and resources that help to improve the health and wellness of our community.

Community Wellness Programs

Like so many of our neighbors, we love our community and are contributing to it’s prosperity and health. A few examples of current projects, all aimed at preventing disease and enhancing health through community-based interventions and programs, include:

Samaritan’s clinical research department is guided by the following standards:
  • A system-wide Institutional Review Board that meets monthly to review clinical trial information.
  • National Institute of Health and Federal Drug Administration registration number: IRB00005278.
  • Institutional Organization Number (IORG) is IORG0004448.
  • We are a research affiliate of UCSF for The Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology.

Our research program  was established in 2008. Sponsors have included: Pfizer, Boehringer Ingelheim, Spectrum, Celgene, Genentech, Amgen, Genentech, Tragara, Bracco Diagnostic, Eisai, PUMA, Novartis, Incyte, Pharmatech, Medtronic and St. Jude Medical.

Our clinical research efforts include cardiology, hematology/oncology, imaging, internal medicine, primary care, orthopedics and pediatrics. Each discipline has a set of principle investigators:
