Dr. Doherty grew up in Chicago and served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1982 to 1986, receiving several commendations before being honorably discharged as a veteran.
Prior to joining Samaritan Health Services, Dr. Doherty spent five years practicing with Tillamook Regional Medical Center. Prior to that, he was the sole podiatrist at the Joint Ambulatory Care Clinic (JACC) of the Department of Veterans Affairs Gulf Coast Healthcare System in Pensacola, Florida. The JACC is the largest VA clinic in the nation.
Dr. Doherty treats patients with conditions affecting the foot, ankle and related structures of the leg including diabetic foot care, wound healing, sports medicine, trauma, geriatric and primary podiatric care and elective surgeries.
In his free time, he enjoys biking, fly fishing, scuba diving, home repairs, boating and spending time with his cat and dog.
