A Corvallis native, Dr. Fisher is pleased to help develop child psychiatry services for the community that raised her.

Dr. Fisher specializes in child and adolescent psychiatry, and serves as the vice president and chair of Samaritan Mental Health, program director of Samaritan’s Psychiatry Residency program and head of child psychiatry.

She has experience working with psychiatric disorders, neurological disorders, developmental disabilities, autism, and transgendered adolescents. In her practice, Dr. Fisher uses a variety of modalities including hypnosis, cognitive behavioral therapy, individual, couple, and family therapy, play therapy and insight-oriented therapy.

Prior to joining Samaritan, Dr. Fisher was the medical director of a private child psychiatry practice in Massachusetts. During that time, she also worked at the University of Massachusetts Medical School as an assistant professor of psychiatry, helped with the psychiatry residency program, and ran the pediatric neuropsychiatry clinic. She is founding editor of the Carlat Child Psychiatry Report, and has consulted with various facilities and institutions meeting the needs of children.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, eating Willamette Valley fruits, biking and riding horses.
