Dr. Havard began private practice in 1992 with the Visalia Medical Clinic in central California where his father had been a pediatrician and his brother is an oncologist. His two sons, Scott and Miles, were born there. He joined Plastic Surgeons of Northern Arizona in Flagstaff in 1998. In addition to general plastic and hand surgery, he enjoyed repairing cleft lips and palates through the Indian Health Service Clinics. There was also an overwhelming amount of facial and extremity reconstruction related to highway trauma.
Looking for a quieter community in which to raise their boys, Dr. Havard and his wife, Linda Havard, RN, opened their private practice in Corvallis in 2002. Linda was instrumental by providing skin care, laser services and injectables in addition to his surgical services. They joined Samaritan Health Services in 2007.
