Dr. Hickerson has been practicing in Corvallis since 1985. He served as Chief of Surgery at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center from 2001 to 2003 and was instrumental in bringing minimally invasive robotic surgery to Good Sam. He currently serves on the robotic surgery steering committee and surgical executive committee, and is the co-chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Hickerson's medical interests include pelvic reconstructive surgery, urinary incontinence and gynecologic cancer, especially with respect to minimally invasive and robotic approaches to treating these conditions. He has published original research on endometrial cancer and the appropriate use of hysterosalpingography. He counts it a privilege to work within a caring, progressive and cutting-edge health care system.
