Cassie became interested in cardiology and integrative medicine when she worked as a nurse at a large medical center and in a cardiac intensive care unit. She focused her doctoral studies on complementary healing practices and transcultural nursing.
She is interested in different ways of healing and living in the world, and she cares for the well-being of her patients and co-workers.

This clinician didn't take any of my concerns seriously and made light of my diagnosis and test results. As a woman clinician I would hope for more support advocating for female patients who already struggle enough to advocate for their health.

Absolutely the best appointment I have had for my cardiac follow up. She listened carefully, asked good questions and addressed the concerns I was expressing about assessing the condition of my grafts. Dr. Slade anticipated some of my questions and had procedures and labs ready to recommend. She was prepared, professional and personable. I left feeling like I was really supported not left to figure things out on my own.

This was my first time meeting Dr. Slade. She was very cheery and helpful answering all my questions thoroughly and suggesting things I should do ( blood tests).
