- Rachel returns to her hometown of Corvallis to join Samaritan Athletic Medicine as a Certified Vestibular Rehab Specialist and a member of the clinic’s concussion care team.
She specializes in post-operative rehabilitation of sports related injuries and has developed a special practice of assessment and treatment of post-concussion injuries and vestibular rehabilitation. Rachel is certified in Vestibular Rehabilitation from the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and Emory University in Atlanta. She is also ImPACT trained.
As a Division 1 collegiate athlete in swimming, marathon runner, a current CAT 2 road cyclist through the United States Cycling Federation and National Age Group triathlon qualifier, she can identify with the needs of all levels of athletes and their desire for a quick recovery and injury prevention to get them back to the sports they love.
Rachel is an APTA Orthopedic, Sports, and Vestibular Physical Therapy section member. She is certified in Graston Technique, an evidenced-based form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization to detect and treat restrictions that affect normal function. She is also certified in Selective Functional Movement Assessment, Functional Movement Systems, and Certified in Applied Functional Science.
Outside of work, Rachel enjoys spending time with family and friends, including her black Labrador Kona, volunteering and competing in cycling races, triathlons, running events,and skiing. Rachel is passionate about sports physical therapy and getting her patients back to the sports they love.
