Kayla is experienced working with adult patients to improve quality of life for those with acquired and neurogenic disorders (disorders of the brain and nerves) that make it difficult to speak, swallow or comprehend language, or impair cognitive communication.
Kayla specializes in dysphagia, voice disorders, aphasia and paradoxical vocal fold movement/vocal cord dysfunction. She also has clinical interests in augmentative and alternative communication and has received specialty certification in Lee Silverman Voice Treatment to help patients who have Parkinson’s or other neurological diseases.
Kayla grew up in Washington and graduated from the University of Montana. She is excited to call the Pacific Northwest home once again. In her free time, she enjoys backpacking, playing chess, hiking and is trying her hand at surfing.
