General Billing FAQs

How do I obtain a complete listing of charges?

You may contact Patient Financial Services and we will provide you with an itemization of your charges. Call us at 541-768-4392 or 1-800-640-5339.

I received a separate bill from a physician who saw me at the hospital. Why were these charges not included in my bill from Samaritan?

Some physicians (including radiologists, anesthesiologists, Emergency Department physicians and others) who may provide services to you at an Samaritan-affiliated hospital may not be employed by Samaritan. Fees charged by these physicians are billed separately by that physician’s office. If you have questions about these bills, please call the phone number listed on that statement.

What if I want to pay my bill in person?

Each Samaritan-affiliated hospital has cashiers on site who are available to accept payments. You can also pay your additional clinic bill at these locations.

Why do I have multiple visits on one statement?

Samaritan Health Services uses a guarantor billing system, which allows for multiple visits to be listed on one statement.

Do I need to pay the entire amount due on my statement?

You may pay any amount toward the balance due on your account; however our payment policy only allows up to three months to pay the balance in full. If you are unable to pay the balance due in this time period, please contact customer service at 541-768-4392 or 1-800-640-5339.

How do I contact customer service?

How do I find my Statement ID?

Your Statement ID can be found on statements printed after July 1, 2010. If your statement as printed before this day, you will need to make a one-time payment.

What happens if I choose the incorrect facility?

The payment will be applied to whichever facility is selected. If you feel you have made an error, please call customer service at 541-768-4392.

What if I cannot afford my bill?

Samaritan Health Services provides assistance and payment options to patients. See the Financial Assistance page to review these options.

What should I do if I have questions about the amount of my bill?

What should I do if I make an online payment and it is not reflected on the next statement I receive?

Check the statement date on the statement - the statement cycle could have created the statement prior to your payment being applied to the account. Otherwise, please call customer service at 541-768-4392 or 1-800-640-5339.
