Hope for People With Depression

If you have tried antidepressant medications without good results, you might want to ask your doctor about NeuroStar® TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation) Therapy.

Samaritan Mental Health joins health leaders like Johns Hopkins Hospital and the Mayo Clinic to offer this FDA-approved treatment for depressed patients who have not benefited from antidepressant drugs.

Samaritan Mental Health is proud to be on the cutting-edge of treatment for depression. Research shows TMS Therapy has promise for a variety of mental health and neurological problems.

What Is TMS?

TMS Therapy is not invasive and does not require the use of medication. With TMS, the doctor focuses magnetic pulses through your head to stimulate the regions of the brain thought to affect moods. Patients being treated with TMS do not require anesthesia or sedation and stay awake and alert.

This procedure, performed in our clinic, takes about 45 minutes and is usually done five days a week for four to six weeks.

NeuroStar TMS Therapy® has been demonstrated to be safe and effective when used to treat depression.
