Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy addresses how people function during their daily lives, whether at work or driving, dressing, bathing, cooking or participating in leisurely activities. Our occupational therapists work alongside other physical rehabilitation therapists to provide a variety of inpatient and outpatient services, including:

Physical Therapy

Samaritan’s physical therapists evaluate and treat patients with injuries or conditions that have caused either a decline in physical mobility or functional independence. They offer a variety of specialized services in comfortable and convenient locations from the valley to the coast including:

  • Sports and orthopedic rehab.
  • Neurological and stroke rehab.
  • Balance and dizziness rehab.
  • Pelvic floor rehab, including pelvic pain and continence therapy in adults and children.
  • Spinal therapy, including the McKenzie Method and manual therapy.

Speech Therapy

Samaritan’s speech therapists are experts in evaluating and treating people who have trouble with swallowing, memory and attention and with speech, language and voice disorders.

Our speech therapists offer a wide range of services including:

  • Swallowing therapy including VitalStim and modified barium swallowing studies.
  • Cognitive therapy including attention process therapy and assistive devices.
  • Voice therapy.
  • Lee Silverman voice therapy for hypophonic voice in Parkinson’s disease.
  • SPEAK OUT!® and LOUD Crowd® therapy programs for people with Parkinson’s disease.
