Your Options for Care

When you need health care right away, and can’t get in or don’t have time for a visit to your doctor’s office, Samaritan offers choices.

Telehealth

Telehealth, also known as telemedicine, is a great option for a wide range of minor, routine medical issues. Please check with your health insurance provider about telehealth options available to you. The following telehealth options are offered through Samaritan.

MyChart E-Visits

A MyChart E-Visit connects you with a Samaritan provider after answering questions online about your health concerns. E-Visits are done using messaging on your computer or smartphone, and are fast, secure and convenient if you need care for a non-urgent medical condition. You must be signed up for MyChart to do an E-Visit.

KeyCare

Samaritan has partnered with KeyCare to offer on-demand, $59 self-pay, video visits, available 24 hours a day, every day, from anywhere in the United States. KeyCare providers can prescribe medications (excluding controlled substances), but not laboratory or imaging tests. Create an account or log into MyChart to schedule a KeyCare visit. (State and federal regulations do not allow Medicaid and Medicare patients to use KeyCare.)

Teledoc

Samaritan Advantage, IHN-CCO, Samaritan Choice and SHP Employer Group plan members may use Teledoc for free video or phone visits, available 24 hours a day, every day. Teledoc providers can prescribe medications (excluding controlled substances), but not laboratory or imaging tests. Go to teladoc.com or call 800-TELADOC (800-835-2362) to create an account and make an appointment.

Same-Day Care

See a Samaritan doctor in person for same day care at a SamCare Express or Samaritan Urgent Care/Walk-In Clinic location.

SamCare Express

Get same-day treatment, by appointment, for minor illnesses and injuries at a location in Albany or Corvallis. Book your appointment online for a time that’s convenient for you. The main difference between SamCare Express and an urgent care/walk-in clinic is that SamCare Express does not offer X-rays.

Samaritan Urgent Care/Walk-In Clinics

Urgent care is a good option for medical conditions that need immediate attention but are not considered life-threatening or severe enough for the hospital emergency department. With locations in Benton, Lincoln and Linn counties, Samaritan Urgent Care/Walk-In Clinics have X-ray and lab services for broken bones, blood draws and other pressing health concerns. Use “On My Way,” in MyChart from a computer or mobile device, to see wait times, select an urgent care/walk-in clinic and hold a spot in line to see a provider.

Emergency Departments

Located at each of Samaritan’s five hospitals in AlbanyCorvallisLebanonLincoln City and Newport, emergency departments are for when you have a serious illness or injury that may be life threatening. In many cases, you should call 911, rather than drive yourself or your loved one there. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911.

Experiencing a Respiratory Illness?

Many respiratory illnesses – like colds, flu and COVID-19 – can be addressed through self-care at home. Use the following quick guides to learn more about how to manage your symptoms and when you need to seek care.
